In early spring of 2023, orange flags were placed for intended plantings in 3 plots located just beyond the main entrance to the park.

The existing Spirea around the sculpture, designed by Ernest Trova, is intended to remind little ones not to climb on this piece of art (very sharp edges exist). Our additional plantings will help maintain this message as well as bring yellow, red and purple color to this area.

The specific plantings described in the drawings below were carefully chosen to take advantage of sun, shade, and drainage for these welcoming parcels of land that visitors encounter upon entering Stacy Park.
