Annual Gardens of Merit

Program runs May through October each year

​Nominate an Olivette garden (even your own)! Our goal is to recognize residential and commercial street-facing gardens that beautify Olivette and deserve special recognition.  Examples may include: flowering trees, bushes, flowering or native plants, a rain garden, etc.  As an additional bonus for our environment, does this garden attract birds and/or beneficial insects (butterflies, bees)?  We will award Certificates and Yard Signs for Gardens of Merit for placement in yards between May - October. Submit as many nominations as you want! 

To Nominate:
It's easy as 1-2-3.

1. Use your mobile phone and capture 2 photos
2. Write a brief description along with the nominees name, address and contact information  
3. Email all to [email protected] with the subject line "Nominee for Garden of Merit".

An Olivette in Bloom representative will contact them with the good news, deliver the Certificate, place a Garden of Merit yard sign on their property and remove the sign after one month.  

We hope this program celebrates our local gardens and encourages all neighbors to make Olivette beautiful for all to enjoy.
We may even see more butterflies and birds!
