Volunteer

Each year, over 40 volunteers maintain the OIB gardens. Many more hands are needed to keep the gardens maintained. Please consider making a difference this year in Olivette and sign up to volunteer. By joining in on planting, weeding, pruning, and general maintenance, you will be contributing to the beauty of Olivette by enhancing the colorful gardens that dot our community.

You do not need to be an expert gardener to volunteer. Each workday is manned by a Garden Captain who will guide the garden "team". Come as many times as you can and get to know a great group of your Olivette neighbors.

Perks for Volunteering

  • Priority enrollment for Green Thumb classes
  • Your choice of an OIB logo canvas tote bag, t-shirt, or baseball cap
  • An invitation to the volunteer plant exchange annually held in April
  • An invitation to the fall volunteer "Thank You" party
  • New friends as you become part of a Garden Team
  • Great garden tips from our Master Gardeners
  • And, best of all, the appreciation of your community!
