On April 21, 2007, Olivette in Bloom sponsored its second Plant Exchange for our volunteers.
About twenty five people came. Some brought plants from their gardens and some came empty handed. A few days earlier a handful of volunteers dug up and divided several perennials from Veteran's Park to give away at the plant exchange. In spite of the early freeze we had plenty of plants to share.
Stacy Park was full of people watching baseball games and enjoying the gorgeous spring weather. Many curious spectators stopped to see what we were doing.
Melanie Osborn provided the delicious breakfast food. The new Starbuck's donated the coffee and Peter Hoch brought the juice and water.
There was lots of plant information shared between everyone as well as great socializing. We had a great time and hope that more will join us next year.
I can't wait to hear from everyone how their new plants are doing in their new homes.
